About Quit Smoking Hub

What this is

Quit Smoking Hub is a structured smoking cessation knowledge and experience platform. It combines a de-identified community experience database with an evidence library drawn from WHO, CDC, NIH, Cochrane and peer-reviewed research. It is not a blog, not a medical service, and not a translation of forum posts.

Core principles

  • Real-world experiences and scientific evidence stay separate. A community report is one person's experience; it is never presented as proof.
  • No shame, no exaggerated claims, no fake medical authority.
  • No fabrication. We do not invent experiences, studies, statistics, DOIs or experts.
  • Unreported means "Not reported". We never guess age, smoking history or medical details.
  • Information, not prescription. Medication pages explain evidence; they never recommend doses or judge individual suitability.

Who this is for

  • People preparing to quit smoking
  • People in the first weeks of a quit attempt
  • People who have relapsed and want to try again
  • Long-term former smokers
  • Family members and partners supporting someone who is quitting
  • Anyone wanting to understand nicotine dependence

How content is produced

Community material goes through source discovery, privacy filtering, de-identification, deduplication, structuring and editorial synthesis before publication. Medical and research content is written against authoritative sources with evidence-strength labels. The full pipeline is documented on the methodology page.

What we are not

We are not doctors, and this site does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. No content here replaces consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. See the medical disclaimer.
